Jill Tamila
Jill has been a professional licensed hairstylist for over 14 years. She got her start as a receptionist in an Omaha Salon at the age of 16, and was hooked. After getting her cosmetology degree she set her sights on the Seattle area and began developing her skills as a hair stylist who specializes in natural look cuts and color. In 2002, after 5 years of gloomy skies, Jill packed up her '76 VW Bus with all her belongings and her furry buddy Love the dog to hit the road. After three months on the road exploring the US, Jill landed in Asheville to put down her roots.
Her earthly inclinations serve her well in the salon, where she specializes in low-maintenance, wash & wear, hairstyles for men, women, and children. Count among her talents a strong line of communication with her clients and a sharp eye for line and luxuriant, natural color. Jill has been using Wella hair color for many years and continues to educate herself on the most current styles and color techniques.
Jill is a devoted outdoorswoman who can be found braving the open road in a variety of vintage Volkswagen's, looking for that perfect camp spot or bike trail. On her rural WNC property, this self-professed huge dog lover, is the mama to Love, a ten year old Malamute mix and Reba, a four year old hound dog, both rescues. Among the dogs, Jill also raises chickens for the eggs, and grows much of her own food in an ever-expanding organic garden.
